MINI-REVIEW

Death and the Maiden

Ariel Dorfman ★★★★

Fan of exciting plot twists, suspense, and quick dialogue? This play is for you!

Death and the Maiden by Ariel Dorfman (1994) is an allegory for the Chilean revolution and aftermath of a harsh dictatorship. This play features three characters with quick tempers, shared histories, and intense character dynamics. It's a short and fast read that you can finish in one sitting. Thus, I definitely recommend even to the busiest of readers.

Enjoy!
